Biography

Brandon Hall is a hard working artist of many trades who places equal emphasis on both aesthetic value and concept. In 2005, after receiving his BFA in Illustration at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), Brandon continued his studies and went on to receive his Masters Degree in Art Education.  During his time at MICA, Brandon began to develop a unique process of working that fused mixed-media and collage art making techniques.

Through this multimedia process, Brandon discovered ways to incorporate fanciful narratives using a combination of early 20th century images and a variety of two/three dimensional textural elements.

Brandon’s latest body of work focuses on cultivating the emotional curiosities of nostalgia and whimsy. Using his background in illustration and his love of the mixed-media process, Brandon looks to challenge the viewer to discover the unique characteristics if each piece’s story through the use of color, texture, and composition. Brandon hopes to take the viewer on an intimate visual journey where the layers of different media become the pages through which the stories are told.

Today, Brandon exhibits his work in a wide range of gallery spaces across the Central New York area.  Currently residing in Syracuse, NY, Brandon is working diligently on exploring new processes and is actively pursuing gallery exhibitions.
